Family Patterns¶
Addiction & Recovery: Rafael Sr. died of a fentanyl overdose in 2022. Ezra had a near-fatal overdose in 2035 and chose recovery for Raffie's sake. The cycle ended with Raffie being raised by a recovered father.
Musical Legacy: Ezra's grandmother established the musical foundation through salsa vinyls and song. Ezra built a career as a professional musician with CRATB; Luna plays cello; Raffie is a jazz vocalist studying at Berklee.
Blended Family: Ezra, Nina, and Nadia co-parent Raffie successfully across households. A Hawaii trip in 2043 demonstrated the family's inclusive model.
