WNPC NYC Dysautonomia Clinic

The Dysautonomia Clinic occupies the third floor of the main building at Doc Weston's Bronx, replicating the Baltimore flagship's pod-based design for patients with POTS, autonomic dysfunction, chronic fatigue, and related conditions.

The clinic follows Baltimore's model precisely: pod-style private bays with sliding privacy panels and layered lighting (ambient LED strips, flexible-arm reading lamps, full blackout option), cool default temperature between 68 and 70 degrees with individual warming options in each pod, tilt table testing integrated into designated pods rather than in separate rooms, and no waiting room -- patients check in at a small reception desk and are walked directly to their pod.

IV hydration services operate on the same dual-access model as Baltimore: scheduled infusion appointments for patients with regular hydration needs and walk-in infusion hours for flare days when a patient needs saline urgently. The walk-in hours are particularly critical at the Bronx site, where the patient population includes individuals who may not have consistent access to the oral hydration and electrolyte supplementation that POTS management requires between infusions -- the cost of electrolyte drinks, the reliability of clean water, and the dietary consistency that dysautonomia management demands are all complicated by poverty in ways that the Baltimore patient population may not face to the same degree.

The clinical staff are bilingual and trained in the specific presentation of dysautonomia in populations with limited prior healthcare access -- patients who may have been symptomatic for years without diagnosis, who describe their symptoms in language shaped by cultural frameworks rather than medical terminology, and who may not know the word "dysautonomia" but can describe in vivid, specific detail the sensation of their heart racing when they stand up, the world going gray at the edges, the heat that makes them sick, the exhaustion that no amount of sleep resolves.
