Brianna Turnage

Brianna Turnage was born on June 14, 2002, in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She was the second of Yvette Turnage’s four children and the eldest of three daughters raised in the multigenerational Turnage household.

Brianna grew up with her mother, grandmother Ivy, and siblings Malik, Aaliyah, and Trinity. Ivy held a central childcare role while Yvette, who had become a mother at thirteen, grew into adulthood.

When Brianna was born, Yvette remained in a coercive relationship with the children’s father. Yvette escaped after Trinity’s birth in January 2005.
