1. Overview¶
To provide more support for Jacob during his severe cognitive decline without disrupting his environment or forcing institutional care, Clara and Sean Wu make the decision to move their entire family into Jacob and Ava's home. The 4-6 month basement suite construction expands the space to accommodate Clara, Sean, and their children. The construction noise proves brutal for Jacob's sensory sensitivities despite preparation, triggering severe meltdowns including the broken "Still Jacob" mug incident. 2. The Construction Period¶
