CRATB Instagram Post - Logan Coming Home (2050)

Following Logan Weston’s discharge after his winter 2050 COVID and septic-shock crisis, Charlie Rivera and the Band (CRATB) posted a photograph and statement announcing that he was home. The photograph, shared with Charlie Rivera’s permission, showed Logan asleep in Charlie’s lap in their living-room recliner. His mouth was slightly open in an active snore, oxygen tubing crossed his cheek, and recovery equipment remained visible around them. Charlie looked down at him with one hand supporting the back of his head.

Context

Logan arrived home exhausted and asked Charlie for “snuggles, gentle ones.” He slept in Charlie’s lap for hours while Tasha Williams, Mo Makani, Laura Bennett, and Elise Torres worked quietly around them. The band asked Charlie before sharing the moment publicly.

The caption read:

HOME. 🖤

After two brutal months—after fighting harder than anyone should ever have to—
Logan is finally home.

He’s still healing.
He’s still hurting.
But he’s here.

Thank you to everyone who held the line with us.
Thank you for every prayer, every message, every act of love.

This isn’t the end of the fight.
But today?
Today we breathe.

And yeah… he snores.
(Sorry, Lo. We had to.) 🖤🖤🖤

Public Response

The post spread rapidly among CRATB fans, disabled and chronically ill communities, medical professionals, and people who had followed Logan’s illness. Many responses focused on the relief of seeing him home, the visible presence of oxygen and recovery equipment, and the intimacy of disabled people caring for one another without hiding the practical realities of that care.

The photograph became an enduring image of Logan’s recovery and of the Weston-Rivera household’s approach to interdependent care.
