Piano Concerto in F Minor Clara Schumann (Jacob Keller Completion) Composition
Piano Concerto in F Minor (Jacob Keller Completion) was Jacob Keller’s later completion of the unfinished F-minor piano-concerto material begun by Clara Schumann in 1847.
Historical Source and Compositional Context
Schumann’s autograph broke off after 176 measures and did not preserve a fully orchestrated complete movement. Jozef De Beenhouwer completed and orchestrated the fragment in 1990, and his realization was published in 1994.
Jacob’s work was therefore a separate later realization rather than the first completion.
